Nimrod
Power and Pride

Meet the Character
Nimrod is introduced as a powerful ruler and hunter. In this course’s retelling of the Tower of Babel, he urges people to follow him and build a great tower. Their desire to make themselves great becomes a lesson about pride and the way leaders use influence.
The course connects Nimrod with the tower project; Genesis 11 does not directly name him as its leader.
Learn Together
Leadership is an opportunity to serve others, listen, and accept limits. Being powerful does not make every choice wise.
Talk About It
How can a leader help a group without making everything about themselves?
Character Design
An angular face, high cheekbones, hooked nose, short squared hair, and a small squared chin beard. A bronze circlet and clay brick connect the design to the course’s ruler-and-tower theme.
The appearance is an artistic design for this series, not a biblical description of the person’s looks.
Bible Passage
Genesis 10:8–12; 11:1–9
