Ham
Learning Respect and Responsibility

Meet the Character
Ham was one of Noah’s sons and began life again with the family after the flood. The course story describes him acting disrespectfully toward his father, while Shem and Japheth showed honor. His part in the story gives us a chance to discuss how our response to another person’s vulnerability matters.
Learn Together
A disrespectful choice can hurt someone. We can acknowledge a mistake, apologize, and choose more caring behavior. A person’s family or background does not determine their worth.
Talk About It
What could you do after realizing that your words embarrassed someone?
Character Design
A stockier figure with a broad round face, short dense curls, wide nose, full lips, and no beard. Grapes connect him with the family’s farming life; his expression is thoughtful.
The appearance is an artistic design for this series, not a biblical description of the person’s looks.
Bible Passage
