Concept and Helping Material
Big Idea
Persuasive writing asks readers to accept an opinion or take action. Evaluate the reasons and evidence.
Read: A Better Book Corner
Our class should place the reading chairs beside the window. That corner has space for three chairs and is away from the busy doorway. A small shelf could keep books within reach. Some classmates worry about glare. We can test the arrangement for a week and close the shade when needed. If the corner is uncomfortable, we can move the chairs back. A short trial would let us judge the idea from experience.
