Narrator: Joseph was Jacobs favorite son. One day, Jacob gave him a special robe.

Jacob: Joseph, I love you very much.

Joseph: Thank you, Father!

Brother 1: Why does Joseph get special gifts?

Brother 2: That is not fair!

Scene 2 – Josephs Dreams

Narrator: Joseph had strange dreams.

Joseph: I dreamed that your bundles of grain bowed down to mine.

Brother 1: What does that mean?

Joseph: I also saw the sun, moon, and stars bowing to me.

Brother 2: We do not like these dreams!

Narrator: His brothers became even more jealous.

Scene 3 – The Plot

Narrator: One day, Jacob sent Joseph to check on his brothers.

Jacob: Go and see how your brothers are doing.

Joseph: I will, Father.

Brother 1: Here comes Joseph.

Brother 2: Lets take away his robe!

(They remove the colorful robe.)

Scene 4 – Into the Well

Brother 1: Throw him into the dry well.

Joseph: Brothers, please dont do this!

Brother 2: Stay there!

Narrator: Joseph was thrown into a dry well.

Scene 5 – Sold to Merchants

Merchant: We are traveling to Egypt.

Brother 1: Take Joseph and give us some silver.

Merchant: Agreed.

Joseph: What will happen to me?

Narrator: The merchants took Joseph to Egypt.

Scene 6 – Jacobs Sadness

Narrator: The brothers stained Josephs robe with goats blood.

Brother 2: Father will think Joseph is gone.

Jacob: My son! I miss Joseph so much.

Servant: We are sorry, master.

Narrator: Jacob mourned deeply for Joseph.
