The Resurrection

After Jesus was buried, Mary Magdalene came early to the tomb while it was still dark. She found that the stone had been rolled away and Jesus’ body was gone.

As she wept outside the tomb, she saw two angels who asked why she was crying. Then she turned and saw a man she thought was a gardener.

The man spoke her name, “Mary,” and she immediately recognized Him. It was Jesus, risen from the dead.

Jesus told her to go and tell His disciples that He was alive and would soon ascend to the Father. Mary ran to share the joyful news with the disciples.
