The Lord's Prayer

Jesus' disciples wanted to learn how to pray. They asked Jesus to teach them, and He explained that prayer should not be used to impress other people. Instead, prayer should be sincere and focused on God.

Jesus taught them a model prayer that honored God, asked for His will to be done, requested daily needs, sought forgiveness, and asked for protection from temptation and evil.

This prayer became known as the Lord's Prayer and has been used by Christians around the world for generations.
