How God Created the World
At the very beginning, the earth had no shape and was covered in darkness. On the first day, God created light and separated it from the darkness, creating day and night. On the second day, He formed the sky and divided it from the waters below. On the third day, God gathered the waters together so that dry land appeared, and He caused plants and trees to grow.
On the fourth day, God placed the sun, moon, and stars in the sky to provide light and mark seasons and times. On the fifth day, He filled the seas with fish and living creatures and filled the skies with birds. On the sixth day, God created animals that lived on land. He also formed the first man, Adam, from the dust of the earth and breathed life into him. After completing His work, God rested on the seventh day, which became known as the Sabbath.
