Jesus Arrested in the Garden
After the Last Supper, Jesus went with His disciples to the Garden of Gethsemane. He asked Peter, James, and John to stay close while He prayed, because He was deeply sorrowful.
Jesus prayed to the Father, asking if it was possible for Him to avoid the suffering ahead, but He submitted to God’s will above His own.
The disciples became tired and fell asleep while Jesus prayed. Later, Judas arrived with soldiers. He greeted Jesus with a kiss, signaling the arrest.
Peter tried to defend Jesus and cut off the ear of the high priest’s servant, but Jesus healed the man and stopped the violence. Jesus then allowed Himself to be taken, and His disciples fled in fear.
