Jesus Last Passover in Jerusalem
As Passover approached, Jerusalem filled with visitors from many places. People were talking about Jesus and the amazing miracle of Lazarus being raised from the dead.
Jesus arrived near Jerusalem and sent two disciples to bring a young donkey. He told them exactly where to find it and what to say if anyone asked questions.
The disciples obeyed and brought the donkey to Jesus. They placed their coats on its back, and Jesus rode into the city. Long ago, the prophet Zechariah had foretold that God's King would come riding on a donkey.
Crowds gathered around Jesus. Some spread their cloaks on the road, while others placed branches before Him. They shouted praises and cried, "Hosanna!" as they welcomed Him into Jerusalem as their King.
