In Jericho, a blind beggar named Bartimaeus sat by the roadside asking for help from passing travelers. When he heard that Jesus was coming, he cried out loudly for mercy.

Even though people tried to silence him, Bartimaeus kept calling out, believing Jesus could heal him. Jesus stopped and called him forward.

Bartimaeus asked Jesus to restore his sight. Jesus told him that his faith had healed him, and immediately the man could see. He followed Jesus joyfully.
