Jesus in a Pharisees Home
Simon, a Pharisee, invited Jesus to his house for a meal, but he did not show Him proper hospitality. During the meal, a woman known for her sinful life came in and stood behind Jesus.
She wept, washed Jesus’ feet with her tears, dried them with her hair, and poured expensive perfume on them. Simon judged her silently, thinking Jesus should reject her.
Jesus responded by explaining that the woman showed great love because she understood forgiveness. He then told her that her sins were forgiven and she could go in peace.
