When Jesus Calmed the Storm
After a long day of teaching and healing by the Sea of Galilee, Jesus told His disciples to sail across the lake. Exhausted, He fell asleep in the back of the boat.
While they were rowing, a violent storm suddenly arose. Waves crashed into the boat and it began to fill with water. The disciples panicked and tried desperately to save themselves. In fear, they woke Jesus, shouting that they were about to drown.
Jesus stood up and spoke to the wind and waves, commanding, “Be still!” Immediately, the storm stopped and the sea became calm. Everything became quiet at His word.
Jesus then asked His disciples why they were afraid and whether they still had no faith. They were filled with awe, realizing that even the wind and sea obey Him.
