Abraham's Son, Isaac, and Rebekah

Abraham's Son, Isaac, and Rebekah

Abraham wanted his son Isaac to marry a woman who shared faith in God. He sent a trusted servant back to his homeland to find a suitable wife. Abraham believed that God would guide the servant because God had already led him to Canaan and promised blessings to his descendants.

When the servant arrived near Abraham's hometown, he stopped at a well and prayed for God's direction. He decided that the right woman would not only give him water to drink but would also offer water to his camels.

Soon, Rebekah, the daughter of Bethuel, arrived at the well. When the servant asked for a drink, she kindly gave him water and also offered to draw water for all his camels. The servant recognized this as God's answer to his prayer.

He met Rebekah's family and explained why he had come. Her family agreed that this was God's plan. Rebekah willingly traveled with the servant to Isaac's home, where she became Isaac's wife.
