Adam and Eve
One day, God caused Adam to fall into a deep sleep. While Adam slept, God took one of his ribs and created a woman to be his companion and helper. Adam named her Eve. God wanted Adam and Eve to know Him, honor Him, and reflect His glory. Together they lived joyfully in the Garden of Eden, enjoying the beauty of creation and caring for the animals around them.
Satan, who was jealous of God, appeared as a serpent and tempted Eve to eat fruit from the Tree of Knowledge. Although she knew God's command, Eve eventually chose to eat the fruit. She also shared it with Adam, and he ate it as well. Immediately they became aware of good and evil. Feeling ashamed, they covered themselves with fig leaves and tried to hide from God because they knew they had sinned.
God loved Adam and Eve, but He could not ignore their disobedience. He made garments of skin for them and punished them for their sin. The serpent was cursed, and Adam and Eve were sent out of the Garden of Eden. Filled with sadness and regret, they left the paradise that had once been their home.
