Chapter 1

When she opened it, a tiny map fluttered out, glowing faintly in the afternoon light.

The map showed a path winding through the winding trails of the forest. Lina felt her heart beat faster as she imagined finding something amazing. She packed her small backpack with a snack, a flashlight, and her brave heart. The path led her past singing streams where fish splashed in the clear water. At the stream, a curious duck followed her, quacking softly.
