A Mysterious Delivery
Last night, Mrs. Puffs sent a special birthday present to Tiny, the local bakery owner. When Tiny opened the package in the morning, the shiny wrapping paper was gone! The box inside was empty, but a sticky note was still there. Tiny scratched his head and looked around. Curious, he decided to investigate the vanished cookie.
The Mysterious Note
The note said, "All the cookies are hidden in the town square". Tiny stared at the message, giggling. He took his magnifying glass, put on his detective hat, and followed the directions. The town square looked busy with children playing and a big fountain. Tiny felt his heart race as he set off to find the secret stash.
Following the Trail
While walking, Tiny spotted a trail of crumbs leading to the big oak tree. He followed them, counting each crumb on his fingers. Along the way he met Milo the squirrel, who chirped about a stash of nuts. Tiny remembered that cookie crumbs could lead to a hiding place. He pressed forward, determined to catch the thief.
The Great Cookie Hunt
Through the bark, the crumbs slipped into a hollow. Tiny reached in and discovered a shiny silver box. His hands trembled as he turned the box lid open. Inside lay the cookie, warm and fresh, with a rainbow of sprinkles on top. Tiny breathed exhaled relief, knowing the mystery was almost solved.
The Culprit Revealed
The flashlight pointed at a small figure behind the oak. A young girl named Lily was holding the box. She smiled shyly and apologized, saying she wanted to prank the baker. Lily's secret stash was discovered and she returned a cookie to Tiny and admitted that she liked sweets. Tiny forgave her and together they shared the cookie.
Celebration and Lesson
The whole town gathered to celebrate, and the bake sale was a smash‑hit. Tiny shared the cookie with everyone, and all the kids learned that sharing and honesty are the best treasures. The case was closed with a big pie chart on the wall, and the cookies were never stolen again. Tiny looked at his detective badge with pride, dreaming of the next mystery.
