Launch Day

Once upon a time, in a small city filled with scientists, there lived a curious little dog named Laika. She loved watching the sky at night, wondering where the stars came from. One day, a group of scientists chose her to go on a very special mission — to be the first dog in space! They trained her with gentle care and built a cozy capsule just for her. On launch day, Laika wagged her tail as the rocket rumbled and lifted into the blue sky.

Into the Stars

As the rocket soared higher and higher, Laika saw the Earth becoming smaller beneath her paws. She floated inside her capsule, feeling light as a feather. The stars sparkled all around her, and she barked in excitement. She saw continents, oceans, and clouds swirl like a painting. Though she missed her home, she knew she was doing something truly amazing.

The Discovery

While circling the Earth, Laika noticed a soft light glowing in the distance. It wasn’t a star—it was something new! She floated closer and discovered a glowing space cloud filled with tiny creatures made of light. They welcomed her warmly, wagging their tails made of sparkles. They taught Laika how to dance among the stars and play with beams of light. It was the happiest she had ever been.

A Message for Earth

Laika wanted to tell everyone on Earth about her new friends. The light creatures helped her send a shining message back home through the night sky. The scientists saw it and smiled, realizing that Laika had found peace and wonder in space. They named the glowing stars after her, so she would always be remembered. And from that day on, children everywhere looked up and whispered, “Goodnight, Laika.”
