1. The Morning Sunlit Smile

Lily woke up early with the sunshine peeking through her window. She stretched and counted the red and blue stars painted on her pillow. Her mom made toast and whispered, "Today is a new adventure." Lily felt a little trembling, but she remembered her favorite storybook. She tied her bright yellow ribbon around her backpack.

2. A Bus of Smiles

The school bus waited at the corner. Lily squeezed into the back seat beside a friendly boy named Max. Max had a giant drawing of a dragon on his notebook. They giggled together while the bus rolled down Maple Lane. The driver, Mrs. Green, sang a cheerful song that made the clouds spin.

3. The First Classroom

When Lily stepped into the classroom, she saw a big chalkboard with a rainbow drawing. Mrs. Teacher smiled and said, "Welcome, Lily! I'm Mrs. Parker." Lily discovered a desk with flowers and a door that opened to a bright hallway. She hesitated for a second, then nodded and said, "Hello!"

4. A New Friend

During circle time, Max asked Lily, "Do you like animals?" Lily giggled and said, "Yes, I love cats." Max pointed to a picture of a kitten. Mrs. Parker praised them for sharing. Lily felt a warm glow in her heart.

At recess, Lily and Max ran to the library. Shelves stretched like long tunnels. They found a story about a brave duck that flew over a lake. Lily read the pages aloud. When she finished, the duck made a funny quack that made everyone laugh.
