A sweet adventure about a camel who didn't like sand.

Tilly the camel woke up to a sky that was crystal blue. She sniffed the desert air and felt excitement bubbling inside her. But when she stepped onto the hot sand, a warm sting tickled her toes. She wiggled her tail and shook her head. I do not like this sand! she grumbled to herself.

A cool wind started blowing across the dunes. It carried a soft scent of distant pine forests. The wind whispered, Follow me, little camel. Tilly’s ears perked up and she set off following the gentle breezes. The sand slipped away for a few seconds, giving her a moment of relief.

The winds carried Tilly to an invisible path behind a tall dune. She discovered a hidden meadow of green moss and sweet fragrant flowers. The ground felt cool, soft, and tickless. She twirled around and laughed happily. The meadow was a secret refuge for her heart.

While in the meadow, Tilly met a shy little lizard. The lizard showed her a crystal bubble hidden nearby. When Tilly inhaled the bubble, she felt a taste of cool water. The lizard invited her to practice hopping over small stones. Together, they danced under a bright green sky.

At sunset, the sky turned golden and orange. The calm wind again sang in the meadow. Tilly promised the wind, I will not fear sand again if it feels nice. She thanked the lizard with a gentle nod. She went home, dreaming of soft dunes.

The next morning, a gentle sun rose over the dunes of the desert. Tilly rolled onto the softest sand that she could find. The sand felt like a blanket just by itself. She told everyone, Try to find the pleasant side of every challenge. Her laughter echoed across dunes.
