Timmy scrambled out of bed and felt a weird tinge. The room seemed bigger, but his body felt squishy. He blinked and suddenly realized his arms were replaced with potato skins. Panic fluttered in his chest, but curiosity pushed him to look at his new form. He whispered, What in the world?

The clatter of the refrigerator echoed. Timmy saw his reflection—a potato with eyes. He pressed his face against the fridge. The cool air bumped against him, making him giggle. I can still shout? I hope! he yelled.

On the kitchen counter, Mr. Crabby the crab squished beside Timmy. Mr. Crabby had a small smile and a shiny shell. They talked about the crunchy crust of the potato. Timmy offered a seed, Mr. Crabby accepted. A friendship blossomed.

Together, they marched outside. The garden smelled sweet. A small sprout peeked from the soil and reached for Timmy. He felt a gentle pull, as if a root guided him. The sprout whispered, Join me!

The town announced a picnic. Timmy, though still a potato, joined the parade. Villagers cheered his brave potato heart. He rolled through a basket of apples. Each child admired his resilience.

At dusk, Timmy returned to the kitchen. He felt his skin soften. A warm light bathed him. He was back to a boy again. I will never forget this adventure, he promised. He settled into bed, dreaming of future potato friends.
