A gentle story about a kid, Lily, who learns to slow down.

Lily walked into the bustling market on a sunny morning. She gasped at the bright stalls and noisy vendors. The colors of the fruits were endless, and the scents seemed to swirl around her. Her little heart beat fast as she tried to look at everything at once. She forgot to breathe while she shouted at the pigeons.

In the park, Lily decided to race her friends. They counted off, the whistle blew. She sprinted like the wind, the world felt like a blur to her. A stray kite got tangled, and Lily couldn't slow down to untie it. Tears began to sting from her angry face.

The next day, while her friend Mia was sitting on a bench, Lily noticed she was looking thoughtful. Lily asked, "Why are you so quiet?" Mia smiled, pointing to the pond with lily pads. She described how the water stays still but still carries ripples. Lily wondered why she should keep calm.

Little Lily learned to pause and inhale. She imagined a big bubble surrounding her, keeping her calm. When she rushed again, she remembered the bubble, and she slowed. The wind whispered her name and the world felt gentle. Her friends cheered when she breathed deeper.

One rainy afternoon, Lily ran to the window and felt the drops. She closed her eyes and counted to ten, feeling her breathing. She realized the rain also wanted to be slow but had to be fast against the sky. She felt peace and laughed. She thought of the garden being calm under the storm.

After the lesson, Lily shared with her friends how she felt free when she slowed. They tried new games that were slower. They smiled at each other. Lily's heart felt lighter. She slept peacefully, dreaming of gentle breezes and slow butterflies.
