The Postcard From a Place That Doesn’t Exist

A curious journey begins when a child receives a mysterious postcard with an unknown address. The picture shows a village surrounded by mist and moonlit trees, and the letter says it’s from a place that no map can find. The child, Lily, decides to find this enchanting town and learn its secrets. The adventure will take her through forests, over waterfalls, and past forgotten bridges. Everyone who hears the story will wonder where the postcard came from.

Lily unrolls the postcard and reads the address written in ink that glows a soft blue. She looks at the little sketch of the town: a square with a fountain in the middle and tiny cottages all around. Her imagination runs wild – what kind of people live here? What stories do their old houses hold? She feels a tug in her heart to explore.

The forest is thick and the trees sway like dancers in a gentle wind. A path made of glowing stones leads Lily deeper into the woods, and each stone hums a little tune. She follows the stones until she finds a hidden door carved into an ancient oak. The door whispers that only a curious mind may open it. Lily reaches out and feels the coolness of the wood as the door opens.

A golden bridge arches over a sparkling river, connecting the forest to a valley below. Lily steps onto the bridge and hears the river laugh beneath her feet. On the other side, she sees a green patch of land where a market will open at dawn. People in bright clothes are bustling, and Lily wonders if they see her. She decides to sit by the riverbank and watch the clouds drift by.

The market is lively: vendors sell shimmering fruits, fragrant flowers, and curious trinkets. A kind old woman invites Lily to taste a sweet peach that tastes like sunshine. Lily thanks her and trades a shiny marble she found on her walk for a tiny lantern. The lantern glows softly, and Lily knows it will guide her when the night comes. She wonders what night will bring.

When night falls, Lily uses the lantern to find a small cottage perched on a hill. The cottage bell rings when she steps closer, and from inside she hears a gentle voice singing lullabies. The voice belongs to a young boy named Milo who lost his dreams in this mysterious town. Lily speaks to him and brings him hope by sharing the glow from her lantern. The town seems to breathe with a new bright light.

At dawn the town is bustling again, but Lily knows she must return home, keeping the postcard as a secret treasure. She promises to return when the mist lifts again. She carries the glowing paper in her pocket, feeling that her heart will keep a piece of this magic forever. The postcard stays on her desk, waiting for the next curious mind. And Lily sleeps, knowing the place that doesn’t exist is just a friend in a secret dream.
