Tommy found a dusty pillow in the attic. The pillow had a blue ribbon tied around its edges. When he hugged it, the pillow whispered, "Let's play!" Tommy giggled with delight. He placed the pillow on his bed and closed his eyes, ready for a bedtime adventure.

When the moon rose, the pillow began to stir. It lifted its head, wagged its small polyester tail, and barked softly. Tommy gasped in surprise, then laughed because the pillow's bark sounded just like a friendly dog. The pillow leapt onto the pillowcase island, and together they played hide‑and‑seek.

Tommy counted to ten and searched for the pillow‑dog. He found it curled under his blanket, dreaming about rolling in a field of daisies. The pillow smiled, and a little voice said, "We can pretend to chase stars tonight." Tommy nodded, excited for the new game.

The pillow drifted into the sky, carrying Tommy to a glittering planet of pillows. There, the pillow‑dog barked in delight at the twinkling moons. Tommy felt safe, knowing his pillow would protect him wherever they went. They rolled over clouds, and the pillow whispered bedtime lullabies.

When the moon sank, the pillow returned to the bed. It curled up beside Tommy, its eyelids heavy with sleepy dreams. The pillow murmured a final bark, like a promise to stay asleep with him. Tommy whispered, "Goodnight, pillow‑dog," and drifted into a soundless sleep.

At sunrise, Tommy awoke to a gentle humming. The pillow was still by his side, its blue ribbon fluttering. Tommy stretched, opened his eyes, and smiled. He thanked the pillow for the wonderful night of adventures. The pillow nodded, ready to listen to the next story Tommy tells.
