The First Snow

Kiki, the curious koala, lives in a sunny eucalyptus forest.

One bright morning, she wakes up to hear a soft, muffled sound outside.

She steps outside and sees tiny white flakes dancing in the air.

The flakes feel cool and magical as they float down on her fluffy ears.

Kiki’s heart jumps with excitement because she has never seen snow before.

The Surprise

When Kiki claps her paws, she thinks she has made a noise that scares a nearby bird. The bird swoops down and says, “You’re right! It’s snow!”. The bird points to the sky where the clouds look like cotton balls. Kiki hugs the bird, feeling the bird’s warm feathers. Her eyes shine like stars as she learns that snow belongs to the sky.

The Journey

Kiki decides to stay outside to see more snow. She puts on her little mittens and a scarf made from a colorful leaf. With her friend, a playful possum named Pip, Kiki walks to the hill. Each step makes a gentle “splash” sound in the fresh snow. On the hill, they build a small snow‑man that looks like a tiny tree.
奇奇决定留在外面再看雪。她戴上小手套和用彩色叶子做成的围巾。她和朋友，一只爱玩的小负鼠皮普，一起走向山坡。每迈一步都在新鲜的雪中发出“扑通”声。到了山顶，他们堆了一个小雪人，像极了小树。

Suddenly, the wind starts to howl.
