Once upon a time, there was a boy named Leo who loved to tell tall tales.
从前有个叫乐乐的小男孩，他特别喜欢撒谎。
He would say he had a pet dragon or that he could fly to the moon.
他会说自己有一条龙，还会说自己能飞到月亮上。
At first, people laughed, but soon his friends stopped believing him.
刚开始大家觉得有趣，但后来朋友们都不再相信他。
One morning, after another lie, something strange happened—his nose began to grow longer and longer!
一天早上，当他又撒了一个谎时，奇怪的事情发生了——他的鼻子变得越来越长！
The Growing Nose
越来越长的鼻子
Leo tried to hide his long nose with a scarf, but it kept poking out.
乐乐想用围巾把长鼻子遮住，可是怎么也遮不住。
He went to school, and everyone pointed and giggled.
他去上学时，同学们都笑个不停。
His teacher sighed and said, “Leo, honesty is a gift.
老师叹了口气说：“乐乐，诚实是最宝贵的礼物。
Lies grow just like your nose.”
谎言就像你的鼻子，会越长越长。”
Leo felt so embarrassed that he ran home and cried in his room.
乐乐又羞又难过，跑回家大哭起来。
Realizing His Mistake
认识到错误
That night, Leo looked in the mirror and said, “Why did I lie so much?”
晚上，乐乐对着镜子问自己：“我为什么要撒谎呢？”
He realized that every lie hurt not just others, but himself.
他终于明白，每一个谎言不仅伤害别人，也让自己难过。
He missed his friends and wanted to make things right.
他很想念朋友们，决定从此以后要做一个诚实的孩子。
He decided that from now on, he would tell only the truth.
The Honest Apology

The next day, Leo went to his friends and said, “I’m sorry for lying.”
第二天，乐乐对朋友们说：“对不起，我以前撒谎了。”
His friends were surprised but happy.
朋友们虽然惊讶，但也很高兴。
“We forgive you, Leo,” they said.
“我们原谅你！”
The moment he spoke those honest words, his nose began to shrink!
他们说。
Everyone clapped and cheered as Leo’s nose returned to normal.
就在这时，乐乐的鼻子慢慢变短了！

The Lesson Learned

From that day on, Leo became the most honest boy in town.

He learned that truth may not always be easy, but it feels light and clean inside.

Whenever he felt tempted to lie, he would touch his nose and smile.
