The Discovery of the Map
Sophie and Max were playing in the attic when they found an old, yellowed map tucked inside a dusty book. The map showed a winding river, a tall oak tree, and a big X at the spot where the treasure would be. They were very excited and promised to go on an adventure together. The map was a bit torn, but they could still read all the clues. They decided to start their journey the very next morning.
Crossing the River
The friends reached the river that was mentioned on the map. It was wide and fast, and no bridge was near. Sophie suggested that they build a raft from wooden planks and rope. Max carried the planks while Sophie tied them together carefully. Their teamwork helped the raft stay steady as they paddled across. They laughed and sang as they made it safely to the other side.

Climbing the Oak Tree
After the river, the map had a picture of a huge oak tree. They climbed it to look for a hidden note. On the tree, they found a small envelope tied with twine. Inside was a rhyme that hinted at the next clue. The rhyme said, “Follow the stones that glow like fire.” This made them climb back down and start looking for glowing stones.

The Glowing Stones Puzzle
They walked through the forest and noticed bright orange stones. The stones were arranged in a straight line like a code. Sophie counted them and said, “Three stones, then two, then one.” Max remembered a song about “3-2-1” and decided to pick the fourth stone. It gave a small wooden key when they tapped it gently. The key was key to the next part of their quest.

Together they found a hollow beneath a stump. The chest was heavy and decorated with carvings of animals. Using the wooden key, they unlocked the chest, and a sweet smell of sugar filled the air. Inside, they found a bundle of shiny coins, a silver compass, and a small book that said “Treasure for a true team.” They felt proud and decided to keep the treasure for future adventures.

Back home, the friends arranged a small party with snacks and games. Everyone enjoyed the treasure, especially the shiny coins that sparkled. Sophie told her parents about the map and how everyone helped each other. Max wrote in his diary, “Great teamwork turned an old map into a real treasure.” They promised to always work together on every challenge that came their way.
