Digest: A gentle tale about a hero who wakes up late but always saves the day.

Milo, the city’s bravest hero, loved to nap under the sun. He slept so deep that even the city clocks could not wake him. One bright morning, he missed the alarm, and the city felt the silent emptiness. The children whispered, "Who will save us when Milo snores?" They all hoped his superpowers would still arrive on time, even though he was still dreaming. The little squirrel, Squeaky, tried to wake him, but Milo was in dreamland.

While Milo slept, the city’s lights dimmed. All the toy robots gathered at the park, looking tired and waiting for help. The mayor’s call for rescue seemed like a distant shout. Milo’s sleeping shoes whispered across the town square. Children painted bright murals of stars to brighten the shadows.

Squeaky finally remembered that Milo had a tiny radio in his pocket for a timer. She flipped it, and a loud beep rang. Yet Milo’s eyes remained closed as if in a dream. A tiny note fluttered to his side saying, "Wake up, hero!" The note smelled like cocoa and hope. Milo finally rubbed his eyes when the light peeked through the curtains.

Milo blinked, stretched, and discovered the sky was already painted with sunrise colors. In the rush, he forgot his cape, his mask, and the mission was delayed. His friends, the playful pixies, tried to cheer him up. With each giggle, Milo remembered his secret strength: he could save everyone, even out of an ordinary day.

Suddenly, a big balloon floated away from the park. Milo rushed with his super speed, catching it just in time. He laughed and ran through the streets, bringing the balloon back for the children. Each step made the city smile again. Milo thanked the little squirrel for waking him, and they shared a candy cup.

As the last sun set, Milo realized that being late did not undo his bravery. He learned that a good rest could make his heart stronger. The city danced around him while he promised to check his alarm next time. And so, the tale of the hero who always overslept became a beloved bedtime story for all.
