In the village of Lumin, the colors of the sky had faded. Children played in gray, and even the flowers looked dull. Every year, the villagers celebrated the Festival of Colors, when lanterns of every hue lit the streets. But this year, the lanterns never lit. The village elder whispered that the Festival’s magic was lost somewhere.

Little Mei found a dusty map in the attic. It showed a winding path through the Whispering Woods, where the Color Sprites lived. She gathered her friends, Kai and Jun, and they set out at dawn. The map promised a secret portal that guarded the lanterns’ glow.

The woods were thick, and the leaves rustled like a soft lullaby. Suddenly, a golden fox appeared. It was the guardian of the Sprites and offered them a riddle. “What gives light without flame and paints the world without pigment?” The friends thought long, then answered: their own imagination.

The riddle unlocked a crystal gate shimmering with all rainbow colors. Inside, the Sprites were dancing, but their wings had faded. They told the children that they had lost their spark because the villagers had forgotten how to listen to the wind. The children promised to remember and share the song of colors.

With the promise, the Sprites brushed their wings again, restoring bright hues to the sky. The village erupted in a burst of vibrant light as the Festival began. Lanterns floated like stars, and even the night sang a rainbow tune. Mei, Kai, and Jun returned home as heroes, and Lumin celebrated the Festival of Colors forever.
