The Koala Who Loved Snow

The Koala Who Loved Snow

A warm and snowy adventure for curious kids.

age 4-7

The First Snow

Kiki, the curious koala, lives in a sunny eucalyptus forest. One bright morning, she wakes up to hear a soft, muffled sound outside. She steps outside and sees tiny white flakes dancing in the air. The flakes feel cool and magical as they float down on her fluffy ears. Kiki’s heart jumps with excitement because she has never seen snow before.

The Surprise

When Kiki claps her paws, she thinks she has made a noise that scares a nearby bird. The bird swoops down and says, “You’re right! It’s snow!”. The bird points to the sky where the clouds look like cotton balls. Kiki hugs the bird, feeling the bird’s warm feathers. Her eyes shine like stars as she learns that snow belongs to the sky.

The Journey

Kiki decides to stay outside to see more snow. She puts on her little mittens and a scarf made from a colorful leaf. With her friend, a playful possum named Pip, Kiki walks to the hill. Each step makes a gentle “splash” sound in the fresh snow. On the hill, they build a small snow‑man that looks like a tiny tree.

The Big Snowstorm

Suddenly, the wind starts to howl. The sky darkens and snow falls in a thick blanket. Kiki and Pip have to run back, but the path is slippery. Kiki’s mittens catch cold. The possum Pip coughs, but Kiki smiles, still enjoying the snow.

The Homecoming

When they return, the forest is shimmering white. Kiki’s mother comes and is amazed at the snowy scene. She opens the eucalyptus leaves and smells them fresh. Kiki feels proud for sharing this beautiful snow adventure. The family gathers and tells stories about the snow.

The Future

Kiki now wants to go exploring more during winter. She plans a trip to the mountain after the next snowfall. She will bring her little knitted hat and help other animals find snow. The world feels vast and full of wonder. Kiki dreams of snow adventures that last forever.
