In the schoolyard, a wooden gate was locked shut and would not budge. The gate held the entrance to the hidden garden where children used to play. Milo saw the iron latch that had no keyhole at all. He checked carefully for hidden switches and found a small, rusted lever beneath a leaf. Using the lever, he was able to open the gate and let everyone back into the garden.

The teacher asked the class to solve a mystery of missing lunch boxes. Milo suggested gathering clues from the cafeteria.
