The Boy and His Brave Shadow

The Boy and His Brave Shadow

Tom was a little boy who feared the dark. Every night, he would hide under his blanket when the lights went out. One evening, he noticed something moving on his wall—it was his own shadow. At first, Tom was scared, but then he realized the shadow copied everything he did. Slowly, he began to wave at it, and to his surprise, the shadow waved back.

Meeting the Shadow

The next night, Tom decided to talk to his shadow. “Hello,” he whispered. The shadow seemed to nod back. Tom laughed, realizing that the dark wasn’t so scary after all—it was full of friends waiting to be noticed. He danced around the room, and the shadow danced with him. For the first time, Tom smiled in the dark.

Nighttime Adventures

Each night, Tom and his shadow went on imaginary adventures. They climbed mountains made of pillows and sailed through oceans of moonlight. Sometimes, they fought pretend dragons and found treasure hidden in his toy box. Tom’s room became a world of wonder when the lights went off. The dark had turned into magic.

The Stormy Night

One stormy night, thunder boomed and lightning flashed across the sky. Tom felt scared again and called out for his parents, but then he saw his shadow still beside him. “You’re here,” he said softly. The shadow waved again, standing tall and brave. Tom took a deep breath and smiled. He wasn’t alone anymore.

The Morning Light

When the morning sun rose, Tom’s shadow stretched happily across the floor. “See you tonight,” Tom said as he waved goodbye. He no longer feared the dark, because he knew his shadow would always return. From that day on, Tom slept peacefully every night, dreaming of more adventures with his brave shadow.
