The doors of the school creaked open like a giant owl. Classmate Lily laughed when the blackboard began to wobble. The teacher, Mr. Mumble, put on a hat that turned into a rainbow. Students jumped on the bouncing carpet. The school day started with giggles, and no one could stop laughing.

The classroom walls slid sideways, almost like a jellyfish. A poster of clouds disappeared, replaced by dancing stars. Benny whispered, "Why does the wall say 'hello' in a squeaky voice?" Mrs. Pudding the librarian slid in, juggling books. All the books danced, forming a music band.

The lunch room turned into a park where snacks sprouted from trees. Popsicles grew on the playground. Students shared slices of pie that sang a lullaby. Mr. Mumble told a joke that made the cafeteria cart roll. Kids chased the cart, chasing rainbow bubbles.

All the textbooks rose into the air like helium balloons. They drifted past the ceiling, looping around the chandeliers. Zoe waved at a drifting math book, and it answered with a silly pun. The books told stories about the moon, stars, and a dancing elephant. The class decided to build a giant kite from the pages.

The gym floor spun like a top and the music played backwards. Students performed a backward run while hopping. The gym coach, Coach Twirl, announced a treasure hunt in the gym. They found a chest full of giggle dust and a rainbow-colored cape. Laughter filled the air, and the teachers joined the fun.

Everyone marched through the hallway, carrying shiny hats and ribbons. The hallway lights flickered, lighting on fireworks. Bessie turned an ordinary classroom into a carnival inside. The school announced its grand tour. The day ended with a promise that the school will always be silly.
