Ethan looked out at the empty plot and wondered what he could grow. He decided that his first goal would be a small garden that smelled like fresh earth. He gathered a stick, a watering can, and a bright sun hat from his pocket. Ethan carefully measured out a square in the soil with the stick. He imagined bees buzzing around his future flowers.
Ethan went to the local market and bought seeds for tomatoes, carrots, and marigolds. He thanked the kindly vendor and carried the seeds back home. Back in the garden he dug tiny holes and gently pressed one seed into each. The soil felt cool and soft as he closed his fingers around the seeds. At midnight, he whispered, \"Grow quickly, little friends.\"
In the morning, a small sprout pushed through the earth. Ethan was amazed and held his breath. The sprout was green, tall, and seemed to smile as it stretched toward sunlight. He named it Sprouty and promised to care for it every day. As the days passed, more sprouts emerged, twining around each other.
Ethan learned that each plant needed water at different times. He set a timer on his phone to remind him to water the tomatoes in the early dusk. He discovered the carrots needed a shallow mist rather than a deep pour. The marigolds loved a trickle of dew each dawn. He recorded notes in his tiny notebook.
At the end of the season, Ethan’s garden was filled with ripe tomatoes, crunchy carrots, and bright marigold petals. He tasted a tomato and felt the sunshine in his mouth. He invited his neighbor's kids to sample the vegetables. They giggled as they squeezed the juicy tomato. Ethan felt a warm glow of pride.
Ethan cut the vegetables, roasted them, and shared the feast with family, friends, and pets. He made a garden map showing each plant's spot. The next week he began to plant a second small garden beside the first. He felt grateful for soil, seeds, and sunshine that turned his dream into reality.
