Little Max watched the river at the edge of his village. He loved the way it flowed and splashed around the stones. But one day, he splashed too far and knocked over a sign that said "No Pushing". Max felt confused and angry. He wondered why the sign existed at all.

Max asked his friend Lily why the sign was there. She told him about the river being dangerous after rainfall. Max imagined storms and big waves. He was sure he could always see the water and avoid trouble. He was still skeptical.

A week later, the sky turned gray and the wind blew. Max went to the river without the sign. He slid down a slick stone and slipped. Water sprayed and splashed over his shoes. Max felt the chill in his gut and realized water could be tricky.

On his way back, Max met an old fisherman. The fisherman explained simple rules that kept people safe. Max listened and nodded. He heard about "no pushing" keeping everyone from falling in. He thanked the fisherman and promised to obey the rules.

Max returned to the village and set up a poster. He wrote a picture of a river with a big red cross. He told everyone that rules help keep them safe. The children cheered and laughed. Max felt proud and hopeful.

From that day, Max explored the river many times. He followed the rules and discovered hidden paths. He discovered that rules are like safety nets. He played, learned, and grew stronger. And he understood that rules exist to make every adventure safe.
