First Customers Arrive

One evening, a sudden storm rolls over the town. Dark clouds block the sky and wind rattles the old truck. Ducky quickly pulls up beside the river, using his duck bill to close every little leak. He whispers thanks to the wind for being gentle. After a while, the storm passes and the sky clears.

With the storm gone, Ducky thinks of making a special dish for the next day. He mixes honey with herbs to create a sweet‑savory glaze. He practices on a spare pot, humming a happy tune. His friends gather around, curious to taste. They all declare it the best thing they've ever tasted.
