Under the oak tree, they found something buried. They dug carefully with their hands until they touched a small wooden box. It was old, with carvings of stars and moons. When they opened it, they didn’t find gold or jewels—but a bundle of letters, yellowed with time, tied together with a red ribbon.
Inside the letters were stories written by Lily’s great-grandfather to his best friend, describing their adventures long ago.
